I thought this was a difficult Food Quiz but Another Day, Angeliqueca and Tandy’s answers were almost all correct!

1. What is a Fraisier?

3. What is the difference between a Sorbet and a Granita?

A – A Sorbet is a frozen dessert that is made from fruit purée and liquid but no milk or dairy products.  Sorbet is repeatedly whipped to lighten and smooth its texture. A Granita is also a frozen dessert similar to a sorbet and it also does not contain milk.  It is not whipped and ice crystals are allowed form. A – Solanine. 

5. What is the meaning of the term “tartness”, when describing a taste?

A –  It is a sharp, sour or bitter taste.

A – It is a filled cake, the exterior of which is wrapped with a strip of light almond sponge cake (that’s the “joconde” part) with a design (that’s the “imprime” part) baked right in. 8. What is a Kulfi?

A – A Kulfi is a traditional Indian frozen dessert made only with cooked milk, sugar and flavouring. It contains no egg and is not whipped, so it has a heavier texture than ice cream. 

9. Which one of these four is not a stone fruit? Peach, Pomegranate, Mango or Cherry?

A – Pomegranate 

10. What is Elachi more commonly known as?

A – Cardemom
